Meet the Teachers

   Mrs. Anderson
I have taught school for 10 years. I taught 3rd and 5th grades before teaching 6th grade.  I love teaching writing and reading  as well as reading cool books to my students. I have been married for 5 years and my husband and I have two sweet little kids named Miles and Lila.  This past summer I spent my time playing with my family.  We went to lots of parks and anywhere there was water.  I like to play games, read, go shopping and eat yummy food, like sushi.

              Mrs. Treff

This is my fourth year teaching sixth grade. Prior to teaching sixth grade I taught third grade for eight yearsSome of my hobbies are playing sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.  I am also a huge BYU fan. I especially enjoy watching BYU football and basketball games. Go Cougars! I am expecting a baby boy at the beginning of December and couldn't be more excited.  Spanish Oaks is such a fabulous school and sixth grade is a lot of fun. I look forward to a fantastic year!

I'm excited to join the 6th grade team.  I've taught 4th grade for the past seven years here at Spanish Oaks. Students know me as Mr. C.  My two favorite things to do with my students are to read books aloud with fun voices and telling stories.  Subjects that I have a passion about are math and history.  I love to play football and frisbee, and am still an avid dancer from my BYU days, just check out my cloggers.  I teach dance to my students, so look forward to the Dance Assembly.  Life is exciting, so lets have a great year.

Mrs. Dyches

This year will be my 6th year of teaching.  I have taught 3rd grade for 5 years and I am thrilled for the opportunity to teach 6th grade this year.  My favorite subjects are reading and writing.  I enjoy participating in sports and being active.  Some of my favorite activities include: snowboarding, softball, tennis, soccer, hiking, camping, photography, traveling, and spending time with my wonderful husband, our busy 2 year old girl and our 2 dogs. I’m looking forward to a fabulous year!!

This will be my 9th year teaching 6th grade. It is crazy to me, to think, that I am old enough to be saying that! I love teaching and I love 6th graders, they keep me feeling young, even though they constantly remind me that I am not. I have had a fabulous summer but I am excited to get this year started. My favorite things to teach are: Math, Social Studies, and Read Aloud. Some of my other, favorite things are: Diet Coke, traveling, reading, running, my puppy dog, and spending time with my wonderful little family, which includes my husband, Mr. Taylor, and my sweet little girl, Ellie and my adorable new baby boy, Harrison.
